Doors open an hour before showtime at most shows here. Enter the showtime, say which ticket and which lot, and see when to leave and when to start getting ready.
Show night at Moda Center, Portland, Oregon. Not sure which time on the ticket matters? The concert night plan covers doors, opener and headliner at any venue.
The 25-minute drive is a typical run from Portland without show traffic (the optimistic number). In the app, set Moda Center as the destination and Apple Maps fills in the time from where you’re leaving.
Then add for show night: every car aiming at the same entrance (real drive to Moda Center). Change the row and every step before it moves.
The time on the ticket is when the first act is due on, and at most shows here the doors opened an hour earlier. With a general-admission ticket that gap is not spare: the spot on the floor you get is decided by where you are in the line when the doors open, and everyone with the same idea is on the same walk in. So the plan puts you in that line before doors, and the stretch from doors to showtime is a row of its own.
With a reserved seat the deadline really is the show. Aim to be in your seat ten minutes before the first act, and budget the walk to your row: it is the part people misjudge, not the drive.
Here is the evening drawn to scale. A maps app can number the drive. The rest is the walk in from the lot, the bag check, and the walk to your row.

The usual show times here
There is no fixed schedule at a concert venue; the promoter sets each show's time, and these are the ones this one runs most often. Pick the one on your ticket and every step before it moves. Anything else, tap the showtime and type it in.
Doors are an hour before showtime at most shows. The Rose Quarter’s own line is that concert doors typically open an hour before the start time, and it sends a Know Before You Go email a couple of days ahead with the time for your show. The event page on the official Rose Quarter site lists doors and showtime; the ticket often lists only one. If your gap is different, edit the settle-in row.
MAX is the easy way in. The Blue and Red lines stop at Rose Quarter Transit Center next to the arena, and the Yellow Line stops at Interstate/Rose Quarter on the west side of the campus. Since late August 2026 the Green Line runs only between Clackamas Town Center and Gateway, so riders from Clackamas change to the Red or Blue Line to reach the arena, and older directions that send the Green Line to the Rose Quarter are out of date.
Bus lines 4, 8, 35, 44, 77 and 85 also stop at the transit center. A concert ticket does not count as a TriMet fare. Tap a contactless card or phone before you board, or use Hop. By car, the Garden Garage has the closest access to I-5.
Moda Center was previously called Rose Garden, so older directions, tickets and map pins may still use that name.
The Rose Quarter has four garages and two surface lots around the arena, more than 2,500 spaces in all. The Garden Garage connects straight to Moda Center and the Annex Garage to the box office lobby; the East and West garages hold about as many spaces as the Garden Garage, and the Aegean lot along the river and the Benton lot make up the rest. The garages open about two hours before the show.
Buy parking ahead through JustPark on the Rose Quarter site or at Ticketmaster checkout, because it sells out often. Parking cashiers take cards and tap to pay only. The Garden and Annex garages have a six foot eight height limit and the East and West garages eight foot two. Lyft is the arena’s rideshare partner, and pick-up is on NE Holladay Street across from the Convention Center MAX station.
The choice is between the Garden Garage, which is connected to the arena and closest to I-5, and the East and West garages a short walk away. The Garden Garage connects directly to the arena, and the East and West garages are the other large option.
Doors are an hour before the show at most concerts here. Everyone is screened, with Evolv walk-through scanners at some entrances, and you can keep your phone, keys and wallet on you through them. Bags can be up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches and you hold yours through screening unless you are sent to secondary, though the venue asks for smaller bags and the limit can change by show, so check the Know Before You Go email. Hard-sided bags are not allowed. Bag check is on the Commons between Dr. Jack’s and the Annex Box Office, and it will not take prohibited items.
No outside food or drink apart from medical and children’s needs. An empty plastic water bottle up to 32 ounces is fine, except on a general admission floor. The campus is cash-free, with reverse ATMs inside if you only brought cash. There is no re-entry. If your ticket is general admission, you can start lining up on campus from 8am on the day of the show. A floor ticket is standing room only, and drinks there are often poured out of their cans or bottles.
Doors, lots and bag rules change; the official site is the live source.
For a general-admission ticket, be in the line before doors, which are an hour before showtime at most shows here. Be there half an hour before they open, and the ticket chip rebuilds the plan around that. For a reserved seat, aim to be at the gate half an hour before the show, which is what the plan above shows. Either way the walk in from the lot is the part to budget for, and it depends on which lot you got.
About 5:47 PM from Portland with a reserved seat with a 25-minute drive and a spot in the East or West Garage. Later for the Garden Garage, earlier for a general-admission floor ticket. Every row above is editable; the first travel row is your leave-by time.

Yes. MAX Blue and Red lines stop at Rose Quarter Transit Center next to the arena, and the Yellow Line stops at Interstate/Rose Quarter. The Green Line no longer reaches the Rose Quarter, so riders from Clackamas change to the Red or Blue Line at Gateway. Bus lines 4, 8, 35, 44, 77 and 85 stop at the transit center too. Your concert ticket is not a fare: tap a card or phone before boarding, or use Hop.

Ready Time keeps the plan and subtracts again when the show time changes. Put in the next ticket and the same steps land on new times, with an alert on each one.
Get a nudge at the right moment, while there's still time to act.
Each step gets its own alert, so you know what's next and how long you have.
Start the plan in the app, and the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the time left, with a bar that fills as each step passes.
Glance at it on the walk in without opening the app.
