Doors open an hour before showtime at most shows here. Enter the showtime, say which ticket and how you’re getting there, and see when to leave and when to start getting ready.
Show night at Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California. Not sure which time on the ticket matters? The concert night plan covers doors, opener and headliner at any venue.
The 25-minute drive is a typical run from Sacramento without show traffic (the optimistic number). In the app, set Golden 1 Center as the destination and Apple Maps fills in the time from where you’re leaving.
Then add for show night: every car aiming at the same entrance (real drive to Golden 1 Center). Change the row and every step before it moves.
The time on the ticket is when the first act is due on, and at most shows here the doors opened an hour earlier. With a general-admission ticket that gap is not spare: the spot on the floor you get is decided by where you are in the line when the doors open, and everyone with the same idea is on the same walk in. So the plan puts you in that line before doors, and the stretch from doors to showtime is a row of its own.
With a reserved seat the deadline really is the show. Aim to be in your seat ten minutes before the first act, and budget the walk to your row: it is the part people misjudge, not the drive.
Here is the evening drawn to scale. A maps app can number the ride in. The rest is the queue at the door, the screening, and the walk to your row.

The usual show times here
There is no fixed schedule at a concert venue; the promoter sets each show's time, and these are the ones this one runs most often. Pick the one on your ticket and every step before it moves. Anything else, tap the showtime and type it in.
Doors are an hour before showtime at most shows. The arena opens an hour before the start for most events, and nearly every concert on its calendar posts that. A few open earlier, ninety minutes or two hours out, and the event page gives the clock time. The event page on the official Golden 1 Center site lists doors and showtime; the ticket often lists only one. If your gap is different, edit the settle-in row.
Light rail is the easy way in, with SacRT stops on K Street a block from the arena. Coming from Folsom or Rancho Cordova, get off at 8th & K; from Citrus Heights or Roseville, 10th & K; from South Sacramento or Elk Grove, 9th & K. Trains run on one-way streets downtown, so the ride home leaves from a different stop: 7th & Capitol toward Folsom and Elk Grove, 9th & K toward Roseville.
SacRT is rebuilding its light rail and closes sections of line on some weekends, so check its station closures page before a weekend show. Several bus stops on J, L and 3rd Streets around the arena close during events.
The arena has no garage of its own. Parking is in the City of Sacramento garages downtown, and the arena recommends buying a prepaid pass ahead on SacPark, the city’s parking site. The garages open two hours before the event, and a prepaid pass is good until two hours after it.
Spaces are first come, first served, and a pass for a particular garage is not guaranteed. The arena lists its accessible drop-off and pick-up points at 4th and J, 6th and J, and 7th and K. The bike valet at Ali Youssefi Square, at 7th and K, is free and opens two hours before major events.
Pedestrian walkways lead from the garages to the arena at 5th and J, 7th and K, and 5th and L. The flat event rate applies from two hours before the event until it ends.
Doors open an hour before the show at most concerts here. Everyone walks through a metal detector. Bags are the part to settle at home: Golden 1 Center allows clutches and wallets smaller than 8 by 6 by 1 inches and nothing bigger, and backpacks are banned. Medical and parenting bags are allowed but go through X-ray.
No outside food or drink apart from baby food and formula, and no bottles or cans. The arena is cashless and has no kiosk for turning cash into a card. There is no re-entry unless a security supervisor arranges it with you through Guest Services, and leaving to smoke does not count.
Doors, lots and bag rules change; the official site is the live source.
For a general-admission ticket, be in the line before doors, which are an hour before showtime at most shows here. Be there half an hour before they open, and the ticket chip rebuilds the plan around that. For a reserved seat, aim to be at the gate 28 minutes before the show, which is what the plan above shows. The parts to budget for are the walk from a city garage and the line at the metal detectors.
About 5:48 PM from Sacramento with a reserved seat, driving in, travelling light. Earlier for a general-admission floor ticket. Every row above is editable; the first travel row is your leave-by time.
The arena has no garage of its own; parking is in the City of Sacramento garages downtown, prepaid on SacPark. They open two hours before the event and a pass is good until two hours after. Spaces are first come, first served, and a particular garage is not guaranteed. Walkways lead to the arena at 5th and J, 7th and K, and 5th and L. The official Golden 1 Center site is where the current arrangements are posted.
Yes. SacRT light rail stops on K Street a block from the arena: 8th & K from Folsom, 10th & K from Roseville, 9th & K from Elk Grove. The ride home leaves from 7th & Capitol toward Folsom and Elk Grove, or 9th & K toward Roseville. Check SacRT’s station closures page before a weekend show.
Clutches and wallets smaller than 8 by 6 by 1 inches only, and no backpacks. Medical and parenting bags are allowed after X-ray. No outside food or drink apart from baby food and formula, no bottles or cans, and no re-entry.

Ready Time keeps the plan and subtracts again when the show time changes. Put in the next ticket and the same steps land on new times, with an alert on each one.
Get a nudge at the right moment, while there's still time to act.
Each step gets its own alert, so you know what's next and how long you have.
Start the plan in the app, and the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the time left, with a bar that fills as each step passes.
Glance at it on the walk in without opening the app.
