Most pages ask how you’re getting there and whether you’re checking a bag (where the station takes them). Those answers fill a plan from “final pack & check” to the moment you can no longer make the train. Tap any duration and the chain recomputes backward.
Your ticket says the train leaves at 3:00. It doesn’t say the gate may shut earlier (Amtrak may close three to ten minutes early). The plan answers to that closing, or to being on the correct platform where there is no gate — or, on the Auto Train, to a check-in time on the clock.
