Enter the showtime, say which lot, and see when to leave and when to start getting ready.
Show night at Delta Center, Salt Lake City, Utah. Not sure which time on the ticket matters? The concert night plan covers doors, opener and headliner at any venue.
The 25-minute drive is a typical run from Salt Lake City without show traffic (the optimistic number). In the app, set Delta Center as the destination and Apple Maps fills in the time from where you’re leaving.
Then add for show night: every car aiming at the same entrance (real drive to Delta Center). Change the row and every step before it moves.
The time on the ticket is when the first act is due on. Seating here is reserved, so nobody is racing for a spot; the deadline really is the show. Aim to be in your seat ten minutes before the first act, and budget the walk to your row: it is the part people misjudge, not the drive.
A general-admission floor ticket is a different evening. The arena lets people start lining up on the property at 8 a.m. on the day of the show, and not before.
Here is the evening drawn to scale. A maps app can number the drive. The rest is the walk in from the lot, the bag check, and the walk to your row.
Front door to your seat: 1hr 24min
TRAX is the easy way in. The Blue and Green lines both stop at Arena station on South Temple, along the arena’s north side. Downtown is a free fare zone, so a ride that starts and ends inside it costs nothing. From farther out you pay the normal fare, because UTA does not take a Delta Center concert ticket as fare.
FrontRunner riders change to TRAX at Salt Lake Central for the Blue Line or North Temple for the Green Line. FrontRunner does not run on Sundays, so a Sunday show from Davis or Utah County means driving or a longer TRAX ride. TRAX stops running at midnight, which a late encore can push you up against. A weeknight show at seven puts you on I-15 at the end of the evening commute.
Delta Center was previously called EnergySolutions Arena, Vivint Smart Home Arena and later Vivint Arena, so older directions, tickets and map pins may still use that name.
The arena counts more than 10,000 parking spaces within two blocks, and most of them no longer take cash. Park Place, on South Temple at the northeast corner, is the closest, with 1,260 open-air stalls and Door 5 as its entrance. The Gateway has 2,200 covered stalls and sends you to Door 8, and the Triad Center has 1,475 covered stalls by Door 2.
City Creek Center is the biggest at 5,000 covered stalls, and its first two hours are free, which a concert will run past. Prices and availability change by event. Lyft is the arena’s rideshare partner, and its pick-up zone is on 300 West at the southeast corner of the building.
The choice is between Park Place, northeast of the arena on South Temple and assigned to Door 5, and the covered garage at The Gateway, assigned to Door 8, which is a few minutes farther.
Screening uses Evolv walk-through sensors that let you keep walking at a normal pace. Bags are banned outright, purses included. The exceptions are medical and diaper bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches and clutches up to 4 by 6 by 2. Medical and diaper bags are X-rayed, and the only bag X-ray is at Door 5, the main entrance on the northeast corner, so head there if you are carrying one.
Cameras can be no bigger than 3 by 4 by 1 inches, with no detachable lens and no camera bag. No outside food or drink. The arena is cash-free, with cash-to-card machines inside. Re-entry at a concert is up to the tour and arena management, so plan on staying in once you are through.
Doors, lots and bag rules change; the official site is the live source.
The plan's floor is the gate 28 minutes before the show: screening, the walk to your section, and a few minutes in the seat. Your seat is reserved, so nothing is lost by not being there the moment the gates open. The walk from the lot depends on which lot you got.
About 6:21 PM from Salt Lake City with a 25-minute drive and a spot in Park Place. Earlier for the covered garage at The Gateway. Every row above is editable; the first travel row is your leave-by time.
The arena counts more than 10,000 spaces within two blocks, and most no longer take cash. Park Place, on South Temple at the northeast corner, is closest and feeds Door 5. The Gateway (2,200 covered stalls) feeds Door 8, the Triad Center (1,475 covered) feeds Door 2, and City Creek Center (5,000 covered, first two hours free) feeds Door 5. Prices and availability change by event, and ParkingSLC.com has the maps. The official Delta Center site has the current lots.
A few minutes from Park Place, northeast of the arena on South Temple, to Door 5. The Gateway garage is a few minutes farther, to Door 8. City Creek Center is several blocks east and the longest walk of the arena’s list. The plan's default for the covered garage at The Gateway is 7 minutes, and it is editable.
Yes. TRAX Blue and Green lines stop at Arena station on South Temple, along the arena’s north side, and rides that start and end in the downtown free fare zone cost nothing. A concert ticket does not count as UTA fare from farther out. FrontRunner connects at Salt Lake Central or North Temple but does not run on Sundays, and TRAX stops running at midnight.
No bags, purses included. Medical and diaper bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches are allowed and X-rayed, and the only bag X-ray is at Door 5. Clutches up to 4 by 6 by 2 inches are allowed. No outside food or drink, and re-entry at a concert is up to the tour and arena management.

Ready Time keeps the plan and subtracts again when the show time changes. Put in the next ticket and the same steps land on new times, with an alert on each one.
Get a nudge at the right moment, while there's still time to act.
Each step gets its own alert, so you know what's next and how long you have.
Start the plan in the app, and the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the time left, with a bar that fills as each step passes.
Glance at it on the walk in without opening the app.
