The 25-minute drive is a typical run from Detroit without game-day traffic (the optimistic number). In the app, set Little Caesars Arena as the destination and Apple Maps fills in the time from where you’re leaving.

Start times here are the team's own. The NBA sells no national window, so a game goes on when the building and the market suit and there is nothing to convert from Eastern. These are the slots this team plays most often.

The arena sits on Woodward at the top of downtown, which is the road everyone else is using too. The QLine runs the length of Woodward and stops at Sproat Street, half a block from the doors, so parking once in Midtown or New Center and riding in beats crawling the last mile.
The People Mover loops the older part of downtown and its nearest station, Grand Circus Park, is a few minutes’ walk south. DDOT and SMART buses both run Woodward. From the suburbs it is I-75 or the Lodge, and the two of them feed the same few blocks at the same time.
Olympia Development runs garages here rather than lots, thirty-two of them across the District, and the ones that leave you at a door are the Comerica, McLaren, Tigers, Temple West, Trinity Health and UWM decks.

Bag rules are the arena's own here and they run from a wallet-sized clutch to a bag that fits under your seat. Getting it wrong usually means walking back to the car and re-entering the line. Check the arena's page for current sizes rather than a size you remember.
Doors open ninety minutes before tip-off, and the arena states the same ninety for Red Wings games rather than a time that moves date to date. Bags are the part to settle at home and the limit is small: nothing over 4 by 6 by 1.5 inches, which is a wallet or a clutch and not much else, with diaper and medical bags allowed up to 16 by 16 by 8 after inspection. There is no re-entry once you are inside, and the building is smoke-free and vape-free throughout.

Work backward from tip-off: minutes in your seat beforehand, walk to your section, security screening, walk from the lot, parking, then the drive (25 minutes in the default plan). That puts leave-by at 5:48 PM for a 7:00 PM tip-off. Change the tip-off time and every row moves.
It is whatever the team has scheduled, and these are local times rather than a converted national window. On this arena's clock: a weekend matinee tips off at 3:00 PM, an early-evening game at 6:00 PM, a night game at 7:00 PM, a later start at 7:30 PM. This example uses the night game window. Cup games, holiday afternoons and nationally televised nights run their own times; the tip-off row is editable for those.
The plan allows 10 minutes for a normal walk-through queue. It runs longer in the twenty minutes before tip-off. Arriving fifteen minutes off that peak is usually enough.
