Doors open ninety minutes before showtime at most shows here. Enter the showtime, say which ticket and which lot, and see when to leave and when to start getting ready.
Show night at American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas. Not sure which time on the ticket matters? The concert night plan covers doors, opener and headliner at any venue.
The 25-minute drive is a typical run from Dallas without show traffic (the optimistic number). In the app, set American Airlines Center as the destination and Apple Maps fills in the time from where you’re leaving.
Then add for show night: every car aiming at the same entrance (real drive to American Airlines Center). Change the row and every step before it moves.
The time on the ticket is when the first act is due on, and at most shows here the doors opened ninety minutes earlier. With a general-admission ticket that gap is not spare: the spot on the floor you get is decided by where you are in the line when the doors open, and everyone with the same idea is on the same walk in. So the plan puts you in that line before doors, and the stretch from doors to showtime is a row of its own.
With a reserved seat the deadline really is the show. Aim to be in your seat ten minutes before the first act, and budget the walk to your row: it is the part people misjudge, not the drive.
Here is the evening drawn to scale. A maps app can number the drive. The rest is the walk in from the lot, the bag check, and the walk to your row.

The usual show times here
There is no fixed schedule at a concert venue; the promoter sets each show's time, and these are the ones this one runs most often. Pick the one on your ticket and every step before it moves. Anything else, tap the showtime and type it in.
Doors are ninety minutes before showtime at most shows. The arena’s rule for concerts is that doors open an hour to an hour and a half before the event unless the event page says otherwise, and every concert on the calendar with a doors time posted opens ninety minutes out.
The general admission floor is standing room only, and its policy changes from tour to tour, so any early entry or line rules will be on your event page. The event page on the official American Airlines Center site lists doors and showtime; the ticket often lists only one. If your gap is different, edit the settle-in row.
DART light rail stops at Victory station, next to the arena’s West entrance on Victory Avenue. The Green and Orange lines serve it every day, and from the Red or Blue line you change at West End. After some events DART also runs one Red Line and one Blue Line train straight from Victory, and its event listing says which nights get them. DART lists the last Orange Line train toward DFW Airport leaving Victory at 12:14 a.m. on weeknights and 11:44 p.m. on weekends, and the last Green Line train toward North Carrollton at 12:29 a.m.
The Trinity Railway Express stops at Victory too, on its regular weekday and Saturday trips from Fort Worth’s T&P Station, but it does not run on Sundays, so look up the last westbound train before you go. DART stretched the gap between rush-hour trains on all four light rail lines in February 2026, and a weeknight show puts the drive in on top of the downtown evening commute.
American Airlines Center runs its own garages and lots, and most of them are within two blocks of the doors: the Lexus, Comerica, Commons and D garages plus surface lots around Victory Park. The Lexus Garage off North Houston Street opens at noon on event days, and the other garages and lots open two hours before the show, which at most concerts is half an hour before doors.
Every one stays open two hours after the show. You can buy a pass ahead through JustPark from the arena’s parking page, and the gates take cards only because the whole building is cashless. There is no in and out once you park. Rideshare drop-off and pick-up has two zones, on All-Star Way and Nowitzki Way, and Lot F across from the North entrance is ADA parking only.
The Lexus Garage faces the East entrance across Houston Street and is the only one open from noon, so it is the garage for anyone who wants to be at the arena early. The Comerica, Commons and D garages and the surface lots open two hours before the show and put you within a couple of blocks of a door.
Doors are ninety minutes before the show at most concerts here. Everyone walks through a metal detector, and security also uses hand wands, so empty your pockets before you reach the line. A wallet, wristlet or clutch up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches gets in at any door, and it is the only bag allowed at the Chime Lane entrance. A purse up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches is allowed only at the four main entrances, North, East, West and South, where it goes through an X-ray.
Backpacks and large totes are not allowed at any size, and the arena has nowhere to check one, so leave it in the car. No outside food or drink. The building is cashless, and ReadySTATION kiosks on the Plaza level turn cash into a card. Alcohol sales usually stop an hour before the end of the show. There is no re-entry unless a Guest Services supervisor at the door approves it for a medical reason, and smokers use the Patrón Tequilería or ULTRA Club patios and are screened again on the way back in.
Doors, lots and bag rules change; the official site is the live source.
For a general-admission ticket, be in the line before doors, which are ninety minutes before showtime at most shows here. Be there half an hour before they open, and the ticket chip rebuilds the plan around that.
For a reserved seat, aim to be at the gate half an hour before the show, which is what the plan above shows. Either way the walk in from the lot is the part to budget for, and it depends on which lot you got. Carrying a bag adds about ten minutes to that.
About 6:19 PM from Dallas with a reserved seat with a 25-minute drive and a spot in the Lexus Garage. Earlier for a general-admission floor ticket or a bag to screen or one of the other arena garages or lots. Every row above is editable; the first travel row is your leave-by time.

A few minutes from the Lexus Garage, which faces the East entrance across Houston Street. The arena puts most of its garages and lots within two blocks of the doors. The plan's default for one of the other arena garages or lots is 8 minutes, and it is editable.
Yes. DART’s Green and Orange lines stop at Victory station, next to the West entrance, every day; from the Red or Blue line, change at West End. Some events get one post-event Red Line and one Blue Line train straight from Victory. The last Orange Line train toward DFW Airport leaves at 12:14 a.m. on weeknights and 11:44 p.m. on weekends. The Trinity Railway Express stops at Victory too, but not on Sundays.

Ready Time keeps the plan and subtracts again when the show time changes. Put in the next ticket and the same steps land on new times, with an alert on each one.
Get a nudge at the right moment, while there's still time to act.
Each step gets its own alert, so you know what's next and how long you have.
Start the plan in the app, and the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the time left, with a bar that fills as each step passes.
Glance at it on the walk in without opening the app.
